Annie is teaching a PR & publicity workshop at Jo Boobs' fabulous NY School of Burlesque the afternoon of Saturday May 21! Students will learn how to create polished professional promotional materials such as a short bio; press kit; write press releases; and more. Absolutely no prior experience with publicity or creating promo material is required, and the emphasis will be on using programs like Google Docs and Microsoft Word which many people already have. Tickets are just $20, but space is limited, so advance purchase is encouraged. Annie is a former professional brand manager and in-house publicist for rubber couturier Syren Latex, and is currently part of the marketing and outreach team for the City of Los Angeles' Neighborhood Council elections. She has taught her PR workshop to other performers across the United States, and has also taught the class to local politicians at Los Angeles City Hall as part of the annual Congress of Neighborhoods event.
