A legendary star of the 1950's and 60's, gorgeous blonde Dixie Evans - known as the "Marilyn Monroe of burlesque" - became an icon to many current dancers as the longtime curator of the Exotic World museum, and the producer of the annual pageant that would grow into the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend.
