FREE SHOW: Performance artist and chanteuse Ann Magnuson stages a carnivalesque bacchanal in celebration of LA artist Mike Kelley, whose retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art runs through July. The one-hour long outdoor party at the museum's Geffen Contemporary building in Little Tokyo features installations and shows from a host of LA underground artists; Diamondback will be part of Gregory Barnett's "Home for Wayward Satyrs" installation - a sort of Elks' Lodge for retired fauns. Some of Kelley's best-known pieces used thrift shop plush animals to play with the concept of nostalgia, so the bacchanal will end in a giant maypole dance with audience participation. Please bring an old stuffed animal so you can join in the maypole festivities! For more info, see the Facebook invite: https://www.facebook.com/events/759329434107502/
